Nice ride....... hey GeorgiaRider, what brand of windshield is that you have? I was looking at getting one, any comments on your experiences with it?

I'm pretty sure he has the OEM "V-Force II" windshield. It comes in a "smoke" small and "clear" large. I think the height difference between the two is 15" vs 17" and the "smoke" tint is somewhat misleading as it is barely tinted to the point of almost not noticeable. I just picked up the large one off ebay for $166 shipped. I've read that people who got the small one wish they would have gotten the large. I personally think the large is even a bit on the small side. I've only taken a short trip around the block with the new wind shield so I don't have much experience with it yet.

Triangles is correct. It might be difficult to get the right sized windshield and not look oversized on the bike. Thoughts? Let us know how you like the larger one Triangles.

For reference I'm about 5'-9" tall. I previously had the Slipstreamer "Hellfire" windshield which is a very nice sturdy shield, just doesn't fit the Vulcan 500 very well. Also the wind coming off the top of the shield seemed focused right at my visor which could get annoying at times.

The large V-Force II shield is a little shorter mostly because it is laid back more than how I had the Hellfire windshield adjusted. The V-Force II deflects the air over my shoulders, but not my helmet. The air hitting my helmet doesn't seem to be focused as with the Hellfire and it doesn't bother me. Over all I like the OEM windshield very much and I would strongly recommend getting the larger V-Force II. I can only think of two negative points. One: the plexi of the OEM shield is thinner than the Slipstreamer Hellfire. Two: other than moving the shield up or down about an inch there is no adjustment to the V-Force II shield.

I think you're right. Someone told me the ones I bought are no longer available, but they are in a slightly larger size.
