Beautiful bike. I haven't seen mine shine that good in a long, long time. Maybe I'll be inspired by your pics and clean it up good next weekend, but even then I don't think I've got that much shine left in my 09.

What windshield do you have on there and how does it compare to the fire and steel one you had on it?

This is the Memphis Shades Alley Cat (solar version) with a 7-inch cutout. I believe it is 18 inches high and 20 inches wide. They have additional colors. I think I get a little less wind buffeting, but I like the looks of it better than the other. Hard to remember how the other one was, but I remember on longer highway trips I swore I would get a bigger shield before I took another long ride. I originally got this one thinking it would help with the wind a little more than it has at higher speeds. Either it is working better or I'm getting use to it, but I do think it helps. If anyone needs the part numbers I can share them. I bought it at Dennis Kirk for $85. Quick change hardware kit was $115 in April 2010.

i see you put an tach on ur bike! mine is an 2007 and i want an tach also; where you get it and how you hook it up? i was told we cant have tachs on these bikes!!!!!!!!

I got the tach at Powersports Outlet Store. Website is http://powersport.zoovy.com. They are in Suamico, WI. It was only $50. I had a local shop put it in, but I understand it is a simple fix. The guy that put it in left me with only the high beam on my headlight, but that's what I run all of the time anyway. Part number 33-3910 (mini tachometer). They also have a version with different colors of light. I checked back once and didn't see this same tach, so not sure if they still carry it. It has been trouble free for two years. I love being able to glance down at the tach and know the gear I'm in. Even though it only goes to 8K rpm, you won't be swapping gears too much higher than that. If you have trouble with installation let me know. I learned about the tach on this website and one of the threads has instructions. I'll see if I can find it.
