I installed a 35W HID system from DDMtuning.com about eight years ago and it really lights up the night. Some have called it 'Flamethrower'.
Installation was quite tedious but in the end it has held up well.

https://bikerbillsvulcan500rebuild.shutterfly.com/324I also have a pair of 35W spotlights on a light bar beside the headlight and another pair of 10W LED lights mounted on the lower forks. All together they throw over 5,000 lumens down the road.

That said use power carefully. The alternator output is only 240 watts (17A) and it takes about 9A to keep the bike running.
